Welcome!

I am so happy you have stopped by. My name is Valkyrie, and I am a Pagan Witch and a mother of two living out my practice in beautiful Colorado.

Born and raised in Minnesota for the first 30 years of my life, the universe has made the way for me to get to a place where I always wanted to be ever since I was little. I knew the mountains is where I wanted to be. Where I NEEDED to be. I didn’t know where I was going to end up, but Colorado ended up being the calling. And I answered.

My journey as a witch began as a teenager. Thats when I began doing research and working with tarot. I bought my first deck at Spencers Gifts and started teaching myself. I only really worked with it for a year or so before my life took a turn and alcohol became a big part of my life and eventually took over my life.

Over the next 16 years I spent in and out of relationships, recovering from my alcoholism and falling into a 10 year, very abusive relationship. During this time, I had completely lost myself, my calling to witchcraft, my hopes and dreams, my creativity, my whole identity, was all gone. I was a literal shell of myself. Barely making it day to day but trying my hardest to show up for my kids.

I am now out of my abusive relationship (almost five years now), living in a place I have always dreamed of with my kids, and now relearning who I am.

I started my practice back up not long after my breakup with my kid’s father and found my Pagan path. And over the last few years, I have been doing shadow work, trying to heal, be healthier and more sustainable in my home, and grow more in my practice. I decided to start this blog to share what I am learning with you. This way we can both learn and grow in our practices together.

Fun Facts About Me

I have a love for cleaning. Before my son was born, I was a professional house cleaner for 4+years, doing move-out cleaning, residential and commercial cleaning, new construction cleans, as well as some biohazard and fire clean up. I also have worked in housekeeping for many years as head housekeeper and supervisor.

When my son was born back in 2015, I was a SAHM for 5 years before moving to Colorado and jumping back into the workplace.

I’m currently work at a hotel part-time in laundry. I gave up on management positions, so I could spend my time where it is needed most and that is with my family and my home. I wish to work to live, not live to work.

Outdoors is my happy place! Do not get me wrong, I love being in my little house, but the outdoors is very important. We take hikes as often as we can. Being up in the mountains is one of our happy places. When long hikes are not an option, we still like to take our dogs on walks around the neighborhood.

I’m so happy you stopped by!
